On the Comeback, Son!
T’was a dreary, bitterly cold night in Central Jersey on the 28th of January 2012. A foul wind howled, and the despondent townspeople gathered at a local tavern, hoping for something to save them from winter’s bleak grasp. On that night, in the unsuspecting town of Somerset, Three Piece Nugget took the stage to rock once more!
After a low-key holiday season, we finally had our first show of the New Year and it was oh-so-good to be playing out again. We’ve spent the past several weeks practicing, and productive as that may be, there’s only so long you can rock out while staring at a basement wall. To say we’ve been looking forward to this would be an understatement.
3PN hadn’t performed at the Somerset Stage House since late last spring, and we’d been looking forward to coming back for a while. The show definitely ended up being a welcome return. The local crowd came out strong and ready to rock, and we were fortunate enough to have many friends and family members come out too. Dom’s sister, Lisa, was celebrating her birthday and we were more than happy to bring the party to her and everyone there in her honor. We had a blast, and we’ll be back there on February 25th to do it all over again.
We’re planning on making 2012 a big year for us, and that means doing a lot to get our name out there. We’ll be playing more shows, and getting out there to connect with more people. Aside from our fancy new banner (which made it’s debut at this show), we’re working on several other things to help spread the good word. We’re talking audio, video, pictures, t-shirts, stickers, hell, even Three Piece Nugget flasks, because that’s how we roll. This is all working towards the goal of playing more shows at more venues in front of more people than we ever have before.
